Before the Grail appeared, Chibiusa had spoken of a picture of a beautiful jeweled chalice that she saw in Neo-Queen Serenity's room, and attempted to make a clay replica of it for her art class in school. Diana mentioned that the Grail granted Neo-Queen Serenity wondrous power that could save people when a crisis called for it.

Sailor Uranus and Neptune were holders of two of the Talismans and Eugeal has stolen them! Serena and the Sailor Scouts gather around the unconscious Neptune and weak Uranus. Serena tries to put the Space Sword back inside Uranus but it won't go in.Sailor Uranus asks Serena not to put it back as they need these Talismans to be put together with the third one to bring forth the Purity Chalice. Serena then appears as the Messiah and Uranus whispers to them all that the Princess must be found before passing out. Suddenly a blast of fire comes out of nowhere and surrounds them. Eugeal zips through them and grabs the two Talismans before running off. Sailor Mercury tries to put the fire out with Mercury Shine Aqua Illusion but the fire is too strong.Sailor Mars then tries to fight fire with fire with her Mars Celestial Fire Surround but that just makes the fire worse.Luckily Sailor Mini Moon and Tuxedo Mask arrive. Sailor Mini Moon puts out the fire with Luna P Extinguish and the Inners all run after Eugeal. Serena then transforms into Sailor Moon and follows them while Tuxedo Mask and Mini Moon stay behind to look after Uranus and Neptune.While chasing her Sailor Venus, Mars, Mercury and Jupiter all get stuck in a sticky attack of Eugeal's. When Sailor Moon catches up, she uses her teammates as stepping stones to jump over the goo and catch up with Eugeal.Once Sailor Moon sees Eugeal she attacks with Moon Spiral Heart Attack but it's simply blocked by Eugeal's new Fire Buster attack.Sailors Mini Moon, Mercury, Mars, Jupiter and Venus then finally catch up but Eugeal isn't frightened of them at all. The mysterious Trista Meioh also appears and transforms into their ally, Sailor Pluto!Sailor Pluto raises her staff and reveals the gem on top to be the Garnet Orb, the third Crystal Treasure / Talisman! The Garnet Orb begins to glow and suddenly draws the Deep Sea Mirror and Space Sword towards her and teleports Sailors Uranus and Neptune to their locations!Their Heart Crystals then materialise in front of the items and return to their respective bodies. Sailor Uranus and Neptune wake up and look at each other. Neptune smiles and comments on how no sacrifice was needed after-all. She then grabs her mirror and Neptune, her sword. All three Talismans then begin to release a strong energy that forms a pure energy pyramid. At the tip, the Purity Chalice appears! Eugeal blasts everyone with her Fire Buster and runs to grab it. Sailor Moon jumps through the fire and races her for it grabs it just in time.Sailor Moon's Cosmic Moon Compact releases a burst of pink energy as she transforms into Super Sailor Moon! All the fire surrounding the others disappears in her light.Elsewhere in a dark room, a dark figure releases a burst of black energy and screams.In the cathedral, Eugeal attacks Super Sailor Moon with another burst of her Fire Buster but Super Sailor Moon simply blocks it with her hand and blasts Eugeal away. Eugeal runs to her car and speeds down the road. Suddenly she realises that acid snails have eaten away the breaks and reads a letter next to them from Mimet telling her to scream if acid snails have eaten her breaks. Eugeal's speeds out of control and over the edge of the road into the ocean.Back inside the Marine Cathedral Super Sailor Moon stumbles and falls to her knees as she reverts back to her regular Sailor Moon form. Tuxedo Mask runs to catch her.Sailor Uranus speculates that perhaps Sailor Moon isn't the true Messiah and that now she and Neptune has a new mission, to find the Messiah. Sailor Pluto looks on and smiles.In the Death Busters' base Mimet reports to Doctor Tomoe that Eugeal failed and that the Sailor Scouts have the purity Chalice. Tomoe simply laughs and explains that if they knew how to use it their base would have been destroyed. Mimet suggests that she knows someone who would be perfect for wielding it. Doctor Tomoe laughs evilly.
Interesting Facts
While Sailor Pluto had been seen before in Sailor Moon R, this was the first time we had seen her transform. This was also the first time we had seen Sailor Moon transform into Super Sailor Moon. While we had seen Sailor Pluto's Garnet Orb before, this was the first time it separated itself from her staff and was revealed to be special in it's own right. This was also the first appearance of the actual Purity Chalice or Holy Grail though it's image had been seen before previously this season.

The Purity Chalice

Alternatively referred to as both the Holy Grail and Purity Chalice, the new Rainbow Moon Chalice comes from a team up between Bandai and stationary goods company Sun Star Stationary. Standing 10 centimeters (3.9 inches) tall, the chalice weighs in at 350 grams (12.3 ounces) due to its zinc alloy construction and glass beads in the image colors of the Sailor Senshi.
Size can be increased by leaving the Crystal in Liquid Starlight, and decreased by grinding on a Grindstone. Reducing a Crystal's size to 0 destroys it. Attempting to increase the size beyond the maximum has a 1/6 chance of splitting it into two crystals with random Size and Cutting, one with the same purity, and the other with 0-9% additional purity.
Purity can only be increased by splitting maximum-size crystals in Liquid Starlight. Purity provides a transmission efficiency multiplier to things that focus or redirect starlight; the multiplier is the square root of the purity (so 25% purity provides a 50% multiplier). The higher the purity, the lower amount of size that will be consumed out of a Rock Crystal or Crystal Tool when grinding them.

Objection 1: It would seem that virginity does not consist in integrity of the flesh. For Augustine says (De Nup. et Concup.) [*The quotation is from De Sancta Virgin. xiii] that "virginity is the continual meditation on incorruption in a corruptible flesh." But meditation does not concern the flesh. Therefore virginity is not situated in the flesh.
Objection 2: Further, virginity denotes a kind of purity. Now Augustine says (De Civ. Dei i, 18) that "purity dwells in the soul." Therefore virginity is not incorruption of the flesh.
Objection 3: Further, the integrity of the flesh would seem to consist in the seal of virginal purity. Yet sometimes the seal is broken without loss of virginity. For Augustine says (De Civ. Dei i, 18) that "those organs may be injured through being wounded by mischance. Physicians, too, sometimes do for the sake of health that which makes one shudder to see: and a midwife has been known to destroy by touch the proof of virginity that she sought." And he adds: "Nobody, I think, would be so foolish as to deem this maiden to have forfeited even bodily sanctity, though she lost the integrity of that organ." Therefore virginity does not consist in incorruption of the flesh.
Objection 4: Further, corruption of the flesh consists chiefly in resolution of the semen: and this may take place without copulation, whether one be asleep or awake. Yet seemingly virginity is not lost without copulation: for Augustine says (De Virgin. xiii) that "virginal integrity and holy continency that refrains from all sexual intercourse is the portion of angels." Therefore virginity does not consist in incorruption of the flesh.
On the contrary, Augustine says (De Virgin. viii) that "virginity is continence whereby integrity of the flesh is vowed, consecrated and observed in honor of the Creator of both soul and flesh."
I answer that, Virginity takes its name apparently from "viror" [freshness], and just as a thing is described as fresh and retaining its freshness, so long as it is not parched by excessive heat, so too, virginity denotes that the person possessed thereof is unseared by the heat of concupiscence which is experienced in achieving the greatest bodily pleasure which is that of sexual intercourse. Hence, Ambrose says (De Virgin. i, 5) that "virginal chastity is integrity free of pollution."
Now venereal pleasures offer three points for consideration. The first is on the part of the body, viz. the violation of the seal of virginity. The second is the link between that which concerns the soul and that which concerns the body, and this is the resolution of the semen, causing sensible pleasure. The third is entirely on the part of the soul, namely the purpose of attaining this pleasure. Of these three the first is accidental to the moral act, which as such must be considered in reference to the soul. The second stands in the relation of matter to the moral act, since the sensible passions are the matters of moral acts. But the third stands in the position of form and complement, because the essence of morality is perfected in that which concerns the reason. Since then virginity consists in freedom from the aforesaid corruption, it follows that the integrity of the bodily organ is accidental to virginity; while freedom from pleasure in resolution of the semen is related thereto materially; and the purpose of perpetually abstaining from this pleasure is the formal and completive element in virginity.
Reply to Objection 1: This definition of Augustine's expresses directly that which is formal in virginity. For "meditation" denotes reason's purpose; and the addition "perpetual" does not imply that a virgin must always retain this meditation actually, but that she should bear in mind the purpose of always persevering therein. The material element is expressed indirectly by the words "on incorruption in a corruptible body." This is added to show the difficulty of virginity: for if the flesh were incorruptible, it would not be difficult to maintain a perpetual meditation on incorruption.
Reply to Objection 2: It is true that purity, as to its essence, is in the soul; but as to its matter, it is in the body: and it is the same with virginity. Wherefore Augustine says (De Virgin. viii) that "although virginity resides in the flesh," and for this reason is a bodily quality, "yet it is a spiritual thing, which a holy continency fosters and preserves."
Reply to Objection 3: As stated above, the integrity of a bodily organ is accidental to virginity, in so far as a person, through purposely abstaining from venereal pleasure, retains the integrity of a bodily organ. Hence if the organ lose its integrity by chance in some other way, this is no more prejudicial to virginity than being deprived of a hand or foot.
Reply to Objection 4: Pleasure resulting from resolution of semen may arise in two ways. If this be the result of the mind's purpose, it destroys virginity, whether copulation takes place or not. Augustine, however, mentions copulation, because such like resolution is the ordinary and natural result thereof. In another way this may happen beside the purpose of the mind, either during sleep, or through violence and without the mind's consent, although the flesh derives pleasure from it, or again through weakness of nature, as in the case of those who are subject to a flow of semen. In such cases virginity is not forfeit, because such like pollution is not the result of impurity which excludes virginity.
