This started yesterday for me. Very frustrating. It happened after all of a sudden my Kindle reader tried to start Alexa which I do not use and in the process it unregistered my kindle. Very weird and now my devices will not sync

I had the same issue (specifically I could download books, but the current book I was reading would not sync the page to my computer nor my phone from my kindle -- the kindle would give an error as well), but the above steps actually did not work

but while I as logged into my settings area in Amazon I looked for the book in question and it said there was an 'update' to my book. I updated and pushed the book to all three of my devices, no dice. So then I just removed the book from all devices, re-pushed to the three, and then it started working (sadly the page is now stuck at page 993 of 993 while only 56% complete with the book, but eh it syncs now)

I had tried several of the suggestions above and none worked. I could read my books on the Kindle Cloud, but when trying to sync with the Kindle app on my iPhone it would never sync - or vice versa. Rebooted phone, ensured whispersync was enabled on amazon site and on iphone, removed book from iphone and redownloaded, etc. I did one other task that made this start working again for me. I went to the Amazon site under Manage Content and Devices and under the Devices tab I made my iPhone the "Default Device" by clicking on the elipsis button next to my iphone. After doing this the sync started working right away as expected.

I have had a Kindle for almost 6 years, along with a second Kindle and an app on my phone. I had a different question but this one popped up right after it. I've read all of the above comments and noticed that most of the devices listed are Apple iPhones or iPads. I have an Android smart phone (specifically a Motorola Droid turbo 2)and have never had a problem with a download or sync. Is it possible that the problem is with compatibility with apple products? (Both my Kindles are on Wi-Fi.)

Again , all my books were synching fine, just 2 books I was having issues. Hitting on my Android phone also didnt pop up any message. Once my kindle was off, the Android started to say I was in my last page, like something was stucked in between those 2 devices.

the problem is you hae to update your app with new app you cant use yoer kindle content with other words amazon books are not your books they dont want you to read on other device or older apps i think when i buy a book and how i want to read is not a amazon permisie but my

If your Kindle content is not syncing to your device, the transaction may not have processed normally due to an issue with your payment method. From "Manage Your Content and Devices", go to "Preference". Under "Digital Payment Settings", select "Edit Payment Method" to view or update your 1-Click payment set.

I do not own a physical Kindle, but rather do most of my reading between the Kindle for Mac application and the Kindle app on my iPhone. I have run into this issue on multiple occasions, but often if I add a book to my Kindle for Mac (or vice versa) it won't show up on my Kindle app. If it's a book I checked out from my elibrary or purchased from Amazon it works just fine. But any other book I get, if it's from the Gutenberg library or elsewhere, doesn't sync between applications.

I have just started organizing collections on my bottom-of-the-line Kindle (the Kindle 4?). Despite selecting "annotations sync and backup" I'm not seeing these collections appear on my iPad and iPhone. I've spent 20 minutes reading through Amazon documentation and forum posts and I still can't figure out how to get my Kindle's collections in sync with my iPad.

The only disadvantage the Calibre has it is a bit more difficult to connect wirelessly to your collection. I won't go into all it's advantages but, essentially it is your own personal library, that you can organize and store you books on, regardless of where it comes from. My 1263 (current count) works are stored on Calibre, I download from Amazon, Smashword, Baen, Project Gutenberg, etc. directly to Calibre (on my pc). Once a week or so, I sit down at the PC, remove some books from my Kindles, mark them as read on Calibre (tag 'read'), add some new books to the appropriate kindle ('paperwhite' for reading in bed, 'keyboard' for text to speech while commuting) and tag the books I am currently reading in Calibre by the device they are on.

Your calibre ebook imports go into a folder that you can pick. I have mine dump into a Dropbox folder and that keeps my computers synced. Still can't figure out how to get my kindle synced like that so I have to manually toss my files to it.

I JUST got this to work. After i downloaded Kindle for IPhone, i went into iTunes on my PC, select 'File' -> 'Add file to library' -> select Kindle from the PC desktop. A few minutes later, my books from the Kindle for PC showed up in the ARCHIVE list at the the kindle for iPhone. I went into that list and downloaded them into my main kindle list. Hope this will work for you as well.

I don't think it is going to work , I have a kindle and I too use Calibre to manage some of the content in my Kindle . Calibre detects the kindle(or any other ebook reader) when you connect and can automatically sync with it .

When you connect you phone the calibre doesnot detect your phone as an ebook reader so it wont transfer the books to your phone .

What you need to do is ,locate where on your hard drive(you can check this from the calibre's settings) , the books are stored and then manually transfer them to your phone.

Forgive me if this question has already been asked/answered, is there a way to configure the plugin to specify certain books for which I want highlights? I can tell readwise which books to include for my sync, not sure how to do that with the new plugin (but I am not very skilled either). I appreciate the feedback and thank you for the plug in!!

Your card number will be located on the back of your library card. Be sure not to insert any spaces between the numbers. Your PIN is usually a 4-digit number, unless you changed it to something else. If you cannot remember your PIN, reset it with our Library PIN Reset Form, or call us to have it changed.

*NOTE: If you do not see the Read now with kindle button, check your Settings to see if the Kindle Preference box has been selected.

After downloading a .mobi file, there are three ways to add it to your Kindle library. We recommend first trying to use Amazon's Send to Kindle desktop app. If that doesn't work, you can send files to your Kindle using your email or transfer the file with a USB cord. If you are having trouble using the Prolific Works App to download to your Kindle app, click here.

Unfortunately, problems do arise with Kindle, be it on the e-reader device or the Windows app. One of the more common problems afflicting Kindle is the PC app not syncing across devices and platforms.

On May 1, 2023, the OverDrive app was discontinued. We encourage you to make the switch to Libby, our newer reading app. Libby is made by the same people, with the same goal of connecting you to your library and to your favorite books, audiobooks, and magazines.

If you have used the OverDrive app or an OverDrive library website, you may be familiar with the Recommend to Library (RTL) feature. Libby offers a different way for you to discover and express interest in titles that your library does not yet offer. Learn more on Libby Help.

To Refresh Your Library on Barnes & Noble NOOK App for Android, iOS, and most tablet & mobile devices, swipe down on the Library screen. A refresh icon will briefly appear showing your library is syncing.

The kindle books is not avaible in the app without amazon echo or other device :( is not that simple like how you explain. If you have a solution to have kindle avaible in alexa app withouth device, please let me know

Did you know you can get goodreads and kindle to sync? This makes it easy to review books (both on Amazon and goodreads), right from your kindle! When you link your kindle app to goodreads, it will automatically update your reading progress. Read on to learn how to link goodreads to kindle.

Note: You should already have a goodreads account before attempting to do a goodreads kindle sync. If you need more info on creating a goodreads account, I have step by step directions in my goodreads ultimate guide.

Another cool thing you can do with those same steps is connect your facebook or twitter account to your kindle. This allows you to share any of the passages you highlighted in the books you read. I chose not to link my facebook and twitter account to my kindle because I hardly ever talk about books on my personal accounts. But if you talk about books on facebook or twitter, or if you want to share quotes from your favorite books, you might love to link your accounts!

Problems with the Kindle not syncing with the Kindle app on your computer, smartphone, or tablet could be because of network connectivity issues, changed settings, or incorrectly linked Amazon accounts.

When your Kindle e-reader and Kindle app for iPad and iPhone are connected to the same Amazon account, all your Kindle books are synced via your Kindle cloud library on Amazon servers, just like your Gmail messages are synced via Google servers, no matter which computer you choose to connect to it.

Please make sure that you register with the same account. All your books are saved in your Kindle library linking to your account, and it's the same as your settings. If you register with the different account, all settings will also not be synced. be457b7860
