Neevu ("we", "our", or "us") is a parenting app built for parents of babies in their first year. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it.
WHAT WE COLLECT
Account Information
When you sign up, we collect your phone number (via OTP login) or basic Google account information (name, email address, profile photo) if you choose Google Sign-In.
Baby Profile
We collect your baby's name, date of birth, and any additional profile details you choose to enter (such as prematurity information). This is used solely to personalise your in-app experience.
App Activity
We store your in-app activity — including completed activities, milestone progress, bookmarked articles, and notification preferences — to sync your data across devices and sessions.
Usage & Analytics
We collect anonymised usage data (such as which screens you visit and which features you use) to understand how the app is being used and improve it over time. This is handled by Google Firebase Analytics.
Crash Reports
If the app crashes, we collect anonymised crash and error reports via Google Firebase Crashlytics. This helps us identify and fix bugs.
Device Information
Basic device information (device model, operating system version) may be collected as part of analytics and crash reporting.
HOW WE USE YOUR DATA
- To create and manage your account
- To personalise activities, milestones, and content to your baby's age
- To sync your progress across sessions and devices
- To send you push notifications (only if you grant permission)
- To fix bugs and improve app performance
- To improve the app based on usage patterns
We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with any third party except the service providers listed below, which are necessary for the app to function.
THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
We use the following Google Firebase services, which may process your data as described in Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy):
- Firebase Authentication — account login
- Firebase Firestore — cloud data storage
- Firebase Analytics — anonymised usage analytics
- Firebase Crashlytics — crash reporting
- Firebase Cloud Messaging — push notifications
DATA STORAGE & SECURITY
Your data is stored securely on Google Firebase servers. We use industry-standard security rules to ensure only you can access your own data. No other user can read or write your data.
CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Neevu is designed for parents and caregivers, not for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. The baby profile information (name, date of birth) entered in the app is provided by the parent and used only to personalise content.
YOUR RIGHTS
You can:
- Edit or delete your baby profile at any time from within the app
- Delete your account from the Profile screen — this permanently removes all your data from our servers
- Revoke notification permissions at any time from your device settings
