About me

Hi! I am Neel, a Norbert Wiener Fellow in the Department of Mathematics at Tufts University. I am interested in algebraic geometry and commutative algebra. 

I hail from West Bengal, India. I completed my undergrad and Master's degrees from Chennai Mathematical Institute. After that I moved to the US to pursue my PhD at Penn State. My PhD advisor was Jack Huizenga.

Aside from math, I am an avid swimmer, and enjoy playing badminton and table tennis. I also like to (try to) learn new languages.
