On Wednesday, April3, our combined Varsity choirs got to sing the National Anthem at the Houston Astros vs. Toronto Blue Jays game!
Amber Pollard graduated from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor with her Bachelor's degree in Choral Music Education in May of 2021. While at UMHB, she was the supplemental instruction leader for music theory, president of CTME (Collegiate Texas Music Educators), section leader and student conductor for the Concert Choir, and the student conductor representative for UMHB at the Texas Choral Directors Association summer convention in the summer of 2020.
In 2019, she traveled to Italy with the UMHB Concert Choir where she got to sing at various different towns and churches such as Florence, Sienna, Rome, Vatican City, the Sistine chapel and mass in St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican.
She is, also, an alumni of Needville High School's class of 2017 as well as an alumni of the Needville choir program. This year will begin her third year of teaching and she will be serving as the high school director and middle school co-director.

Chloe Sofia Cavazos is a native of Harlingen, Texas. She received her bachelors of music from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) in 2020. As a student, she was an active member of the UTRGV Master Chorale, Chamber Singers, and Opera Theater. She sang in the university's production of HANSEL AND GRETEL as Hansel (2019), LUCINDA Y LAS FLORES DE LA NOCHEBUENA (2018) as Lucinda, and HANSEL AND GRETEL as Sandman (2017).
Mrs. Cavazos sings in Pasión, the Rio Grande Valley's professional choir, under the direction of Eric Posada. Pasión was selected to perform in the Texas Choral Directors Association 2021 summer conference where they received excellent reviews.
Mrs. Cavazos currently serves as co-choir director at Needville ISD where she teaches 6th-12th grade.
