PROBLEM

We started investigating something around us that we usually don't perceive.

There were many possible options to make an app for, but finally, we decided to concentrate on a problem that we have already faced. When you have time to help, it's difficult to find a place that concentrates all the possibilities and all the information about different NGOs. You lose a lot of time, seeking information.

Volunteering is a classic thing to talk about, and probably one of the first things that come to your head to talk about when it comes to society. 

It is so common that we think sometimes the topic goes unnoticed.

We found out that it was difficult to find a place where volunteer or start volunteering in a new place.

During the investigation, we decided to carry out the survey to confirm that the difficulty we experienced was indeed real. Approximately, 250 people participated in the survey.

WAW also focuses on the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals). First, we emphasize SDG 10, which addresses the reduction of inequalities. As mentioned earlier, NeedU aims to reduce inequalities worldwide and support those in need, no matter where they are. That’s why our primary mission is to promote volunteering activities and allocate all profits to non-profit organizations. For instance, we support NGOs focused on Third World countries, such as the Philippines (Kalipay Project) and Uganda (Kukura Project).

Secondly, we also focus on the following SDGs:
