My journey in education began with more than 14 years of teaching English language across Cycles 2, 3, and 4, during which I served as an English language coordinator and co-authored the Themes for Today series for the Lebanese national curriculum of Cycle 4. Building on this foundation, I have dedicated more than 6 years of my career to advancing international education, with a strong focus on the IB Diploma Programme.
For the past 4 years, I have served as DP Coordinator, guiding both students and teachers through the demands of the program while fostering a culture rooted in IB values. My role as a Theory of Knowledge (TOK) instructor for four years, and earlier as a History teacher for DP learners, has allowed me to nurture critical thinking, reflection, global awareness, and open-mindedness in my classrooms.
Equally meaningful has been my work as a professional development trainer at my school for over four years. In this capacity, I have been committed to spreading the IB philosophy, promoting inquiry-based, reflective, and student-centered teaching practices based on metacognitive scaffolding, and supporting colleagues in integrating TOK across their courses.
In addition, as the DP Extended Essay (EE) Coordinator for more than five years, I have trained supervisors and equipped students with essential research and academic writing skills, preparing them for success in higher education and beyond.
As a passionate lifelong learner, I am dedicated to nurturing open-mindedness, encouraging deep reflection, and inspiring continuous growth within my educational community.
