Mrs. Celia Khater is a licensed Clinical Psychologist with over 16 years of experience working across diverse populations and age groups. Throughout her career, she has been deeply committed to supporting individuals, families, students, parents, and teachers through psychological challenges, life transitions, and emotional struggles.
Her professional journey began at Haigazian University, where she earned her Masters degree in Clinical Psychology. Soon after graduation, she began her career as a school counselor at the Beirut Baptist School, eventually becoming the head of the school’s counseling department—a role she continues to hold today. In parallel, Mrs. Khater established her private practice in Hazmieh, where she continues to serve clients with dedication and compassion.
Driven by a desire to deepen her therapeutic approach, Mrs. Khater pursued specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) at Beck institute, which now forms the core of her practice. She uses CBT techniques to help individuals manage and overcome a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, academic difficulties, bullying, and life changes.
In addition to her clinical work, Mrs. Khater is also a familiar face in the media. For the past seven years, she is a recurring guest on mtv channel and osn-alf l youm, where she raises awareness about mental health, breaks stigma, and offers practical tools to viewers navigating daily challenges. These segments often address relatable challenges such as parenting stress, psychological disorders, emotional wellbeing, and personal development.
Mrs. Khater also leads numerous workshops and training sessions, extending her impact beyond individual therapy to schools, organizations, and community spaces. Whether she’s working one-on-one or speaking to a broader audience, her mission remains the same: to foster psychological wellness, raise awareness, and empower others.
Beyond her professional life, Celia is a proud mother of two daughters, aged 13 and 11½, who continue to inspire her personal and professional journey every day.
