Sebouh Gurunlian is a Lebanese Armenian higher-education professional with a long-standing focus on career guidance, student recruitment and continuing education. His PhD in educational management emphasizes the importance of career and university major guidance for youth, ensuring a smooth transition from school to university and later to workforce.
He has served as Director of the Center for Continuing Education at Haigazian University for more than a decade where he led outreach, lifelong-learning initiatives and professional development programs for teachers and community learners.
In addition, Dr. Gurunlian’s profile lists him in admissions and student recruitment roles at many Lebanese higher education institutions, lately with the American University of Science and Technology AUST, where he has taken part in university careers fairs, led various trainings for youth and schools counselors and conducted student-orientation events in more than 300 schools in Lebanon and abroad.
Co-author of “Keeping the heart in Mind”, a practical handbook on how to introduce emotional intelligence into regular classrooms and educational institutions. Dr. Gurunlian has rich experience in designing and implementing professional development and teacher training programs based on research, facts and continuous job market monitoring and data collection.
With more than 12 years’ experience in higher education and the promotion of professional development in Lebanon and MENA region, he is a lecturer and trainer in Strategic Management, Leadership, Organizational Behavior, Talent Management , Emotional Intelligence, Building Effective Teams and Educational Management. Dr. Gurunlian is a positive change initiator with emphasis on data analysis and technology and their growing roles in the 21st Century Education and Workforce.
