Dr. Baroud joined AUB as Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychiatry in 2022. She received her Medical Degree from the Faculty of Medicine at the American University of Beirut in 2015 and completed her general adult Psychiatry residency training at the American University of Beirut Medical Center, followed by a year as Chief Resident in Psychiatry. Dr. Baroud then joined the Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, where she completed two years of subspecialty fellowship training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr. Baroud is active in research and has published her work in medical journals and presented her research at conferences regionally and internationally. She serves as the director of the Psychiatry Clerkship at AUB and is involved in a host of academic, research and clinical activities, including teaching medical students and residents at the faculty of medicine. Dr. Baroud has a specific research interest in Emotion Dysregulation, and in psychiatric disorders among medically ill children and adolescents. She is a member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
