“Growth mindset” has become one of education’s most quoted ideas—but what does it actually look like in the lived experience of teaching, learning, and growing together? This interactive session moves past slogans to explore how belief, design, and culture shape the way students and teachers see themselves as learners and as people. Drawing on Carol Dweck’s research and real classroom practice, we’ll examine how educators can apply a growth mindset to their own craft, design learning experiences that nurture students’ academic and personal growth, and build classroom and school systems that allow students to make the changes needed to improve their learning outcomes.
