Anxiety disorders are among the most common psychiatric disorders affecting children and adolescents today, yet they are often misunderstood or overlooked. This presentation provides educators and parents with evidence-based knowledge about anxiety disorders among youth. By the end of this talk, participants will be able to (1) understand the difference between normal stress and clinical anxiety, (2) identify common signs and symptoms of anxiety depending on a child's age group & developmental level, (3) be familiar with the risk factors for the development of anxiety disorders, and (4) know about the main treatment modalities. The session also highlights the importance of early intervention, collaboration between families and schools, and knowing when to seek professional help.Â
