This workshop aims at creating the opportunity for English language teachers to explore a better approach to help ALL students write any composition with more ease by activating their schemata and relieving many of them of the inefficient step of outlining, which I call ""backward planning for better writing"". By the end of the workshop, teachers will have explored a metacognitive approach to aid students learn to unpack any writing prompt on their own, plan strategically, and write efficiently.
