We build tools to help electricians and apprentices with code references, calculators, study tools, and related features.
We collect the following types of information when you use the App.
2.1 Information you provide directly
Account information
If you sign in (for example with Google Sign-In), we may collect your name, email address, profile image, and an identifier associated with your account.
App content you create
Within the App you may store things like notes, study progress, certifications, OJT logs, or other electrician-related data. This content may be stored:
Locally on your device; and/or
In our backend services (for example Firebase) when sync/backup features are enabled.
Support communications
If you contact us for support, we may collect your email address and any information you provide in your message.
2.2 Information collected automatically
When you use the App, certain information is collected automatically, including:
Device information
Device model, operating system version, language, country/region, and unique device identifiers (such as Android Advertising ID).
Usage information
Screens viewed, features used (for example which calculators or reference tools you open), taps, and basic interaction events. This helps us understand which features are useful and improve the App.
Log and diagnostic data
Crash reports, performance data, and error logs, which may include device information and limited contextual information at the time of the crash.
This data may be collected using third-party services such as Google Firebase, Google Play Services, and similar tools.
2.3 Information from third-party services
If you choose to connect or sign in with a third-party service (such as Google Sign-In), that service may share certain information with us, such as your name, email address, and profile picture, in accordance with their own privacy policies and your settings with them.
We use the information described above for the following purposes:
To provide and operate the App
Display NEC reference content, calculators, and study tools.
Save your preferences and app settings (such as PRO status, notification time, and theme).
Deliver daily “NEC code of the day” notifications if you enable them.
To manage PRO access and purchases
Determine whether your device or account has active PRO access.
Validate purchases, subscriptions, or temporary PRO unlocks (for example via Google Play Billing or rewarded ads).
To show advertising
Display in-app ads using networks such as Google AdMob.
Ad networks may use your device’s advertising ID and other signals to show personalized or non-personalized ads, according to your device settings and their policies.
To improve the App
Analyze usage patterns, troubleshoot problems, and optimize performance.
Understand which features are popular or confusing so we can improve them.
To communicate with you
Send important notices such as significant changes to this Privacy Policy, security alerts, or critical app announcements (where permitted).
The App may use third-party services including, but not limited to:
Google AdMob – to show banner and/or rewarded ads.
Google Firebase – for app initialization, authentication, crash reporting, and optional analytics.
These providers may collect and process information as independent controllers under their own privacy policies. They may use identifiers such as the Android Advertising ID, IP address, device information, and usage data to provide, measure, and improve their services.
You can manage or reset your Android Advertising ID and control ad personalization in your device’s Settings (usually under “Privacy” or “Ads”).
When you purchase PRO access, subscriptions, or other paid features, payments are processed by Google Play on our behalf. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
We receive from Google Play only what we need to:
Confirm that a purchase or subscription is valid, and
Unlock or maintain your PRO access inside the App.
Google Play processes your payment data in accordance with its own terms and privacy policy.
If you enable notifications, the App may send you:
Daily “NEC code of the day” notifications; and
Other optional reminders or informational alerts related to the App.
You can turn notifications on or off at any time in:
The App’s settings; and/or
Your device’s system notification settings.
We do not use notifications to send advertisements unrelated to the App’s core functionality.
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share information in these limited situations:
Service providers
With trusted third-party service providers that help us operate the App (for example Google Firebase, Google AdMob, crash reporting and analytics). They are allowed to use your information only as necessary to provide services to us.
Legal and safety reasons
When we believe in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to:
Comply with law, regulation, legal process, or government request;
Protect the rights, property, or safety of our users, the public, or ourselves; or
Detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues.

We retain information for as long as necessary to:
Provide the App and its features;
Comply with our legal obligations;
Resolve disputes; and

You may uninstall the App at any time to stop future data collection from your device. Data already stored in our backend systems may be retained for a reasonable period unless deletion is required by law or you contact us with a valid deletion request (where applicable law provides this right).
Depending on your location, you may have certain rights over your personal data, such as the right to access, correct, or delete your data, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights (if available in your jurisdiction), please contact us at LumenNyxdev@gmail.com.
