In 2014, Sammi started doodling sketches of a spunky little Neanderthal girl, enjoying life in a fictionalized pre-historic Ireland. Overtime, these sketches developed into a more defined character and setting. A story began to develop from these initial sketch explorations.
Five years later, Sammi pitched NEANDERGAL as her MFA thesis project.
Since the initial greenlight, the current crew of seven friends have been enthusiastically working to bring to life the story of a little Neanderthal girl coping with loss, finding hope in the darkest of places.
We have developed an animatic with a temp track, established art direction, established a production pipeline, visual development mood paintings, character/prop designs, environment layouts, and finished stop motion puppet armatures
Now our production will have a new home in ArtU's StudioX. Join our crew this Fall 2021 in the NeanderGal section of StudioX. We are excited to work with you!
