(<30 Min) <short version> - MEMBER BENEFITS GENERAL OVERVIEW- In this session Aaron covers a variety of all things NEA Member Benefits. From Complimentary Life Insurance to $500 Travel Dollars for Members, in this session you will get a taste of everything. While it is not required, in this session we are asking participants to come with their video on so we can see smiling faces.


(30 Min) <medium version>- MEMBER BENEFITS GENERAL OVERVIEW- In this session Aaron covers a variety of all things NEA Member Benefits. (60 Min)<long version> - MEMBER BENEFITS GENERAL OVERVIEW - In this session Aaron covers a variety of all things NEA Member Benefits. (60 Min) - STUDENT LOAN DEBT NAVIGATION -Members will be able to listen to material presented as it relates to Federal Student Loans and Federal Loan Forgiveness. Asking questions is encouraged. More importantly, members will learn about a free tool, the NEA Student Debt Navigator powered by SAVI. This free tool(to members) is designed to assist members with developing the most effective plan to deal with their student loans.


(60+ Minutes) - RETIREMENT PLANNING, PRINCIPLES OF INVESTING & UNDERSTANDING MARKETS- Members will look at important things to know about investing from compound interest to detailed investing information. Of course knowing these details is not enough, understanding how to put them to use is important so we will also discuss the variety of investment options that you may have available to you as a public school employee. What is a stock? What is a bond? How do they work? These will all be discussed in this session. A Retirement Specialist from Voyage Retirement Solutions will be present for Q&A DEPENDING ON 403b AVAILABILITY BY DISTRICT)


(20 Min) - CUTTING THE CORD - Reduce Your Cable Bill & Refine Your Entertainment. "Cutting the Cord" sounds great but where do I start to "Cut the Cord"? In this short session we will look at all of the aspects of the process from bandwidth evaluation to content assessment. This is sure to be a money saving course for those who have not yet made the leap to entertainment independence.


(20 Min) - LIFE INSURANCE, LONG -TERM CARE, INCOME PROTECTION & DISABILITY INSURANCE- This session is good for a 20 minute lunch time.  Quite simply, Aaron covers the various Life, Disability and Income Protection plans that NEA Member Benefits has to offer.  Members do have access to a free life insurance plan, as well as many other plans that are offered at discounted rates for members.  All will be discussed in this session.


(20 Min) - HOME PURCHASING/HOME INSURANCE- This is a 20 minute lunch session. Aaron looks at the pros and cons of purchasing a home vs renting, members can decide which is option is right for them. Also, there are a number of surprises that come up in the home buying process that will be good for you to be aware of before making that big purchase. Finally, you we all need Home Insurance, Aaron will look at the variety of home insurance options, and what they mean.


(20 Min) - AUTO PURCHASING/AUTO INSURANCE-  This session is perfect to offer over a 20 minute lunch break.  Looking to purchase a car?  Lets look at ways to save money!  Financially, a car is the most costly purchase we will make.  Traditionally, we purchase an item that depreciates in value and we finance that purchase with a loan.  Let’s see if we can save you some money and some headaches.   Also, once you purchase that new ride, you will need to insure it.  So, Aaron will look at what’s important to know about your insurance policy and what those coverages mean to you.


(60 Min) - BUDGETING & PERSONAL FINANCE (COURSE 1)- Members will begin learning how to deal with their debt and overall finances in their household. This course is the first session(of two) that will start a plan for getting your financial life moving in a positive direction. At the end of the course members will be given a budget that will allow them to track their finances and see where their money is being spent now and what is recommended. In session two, members will further discuss a plan for moving forward in a positive direction.


(60 Min) - BUDGETING & PERSONAL FINANCE (COURSE 2)- Members will examine their budget, in the homework that they were given from Course 1. We will then look at important factors that will have an impact on financial life. Eliminating debt is a focus along with three Life Goals to get you started. Budgeting, Expenses, Interest and Savings will be covered.


(30 Min) - VIRTUAL VACATION - Members will enjoy a virtual vacation, while they sit at home. This is a guided tour to a top world destination. Full of activities and area highlights, this tour uses Google Earth and YouTube to take members to a far away place. The most important part, is that this session gives members 30 minutes of stress free life, which seems to be to be in short supply these days.
