The Neabsco essentials are not rules, but an ideology that guides us to be our best selves! If we follow these essentials, students and staff members will be safe and successful.
We are a family.
Respectfully respond to teachers, students and staff with your words and actions.
When someone in class does something well or wins a game, we will congratulate that person and show good sportsmanship.
During discussions and conversations, respect everyone’s comments, opinions and ideas.
When you cough or sneeze, cover your mouth with the inside of your elbow. When you burp, turn your head away from others and cover your mouth. Afterward, you should say "Excuse me."
Even when you’re upset, instead of smacking your lips or rolling your eyes, you can stop and take a deep breath.
Always say thank you when you are given something.
Surprise others by performing random acts of kindness.
Be engaged in your learning. Work hard and be proud of yourself.
Rewards come from within, they are not always a gift.
Be organized and complete all assignments at school and at home to your best ability.
12. All transitions will be swift, quiet and orderly. Walk, don’t run.
13. When you have a substitute, all the essentials and expectations apply.
14. Keep yourself and the bathrooms clean.
15. After dining in the cafeteria or elsewhere, be responsible for your trash.
16. Help keep your learning environment and the school clean.
17. Give personal space, if an accident happens, say, “Excuse me.”
18. During the assembly, show respect to the speaker.
19. When walking in line, keep your arms at your side and move quietly. Never cut in line.
20. If anyone is bullying you, tell a trusted adult.
21. Take care of your technology, library books, and school supplies.
22. Be safe, keep your hands to yourself and feet on the ground.
23. First try to problem solve, but ask for help when you need it.
24. Be honest and take responsibility for your actions even in challenging situations.
25. No matter where are, you are always a Neabsco Star. Be a positive leader.
How are the essentials incorporated?
The essentials are incorporated in the following ways:
1. Students and staff refer to essentials daily
2. Incorporated on the morning announcements daily
3. Displayed in classrooms and throughout the building
