It is our pleasure to invite you to participate in a regional conference on November 10th on inquiry-based learning (IBL), the first event of the newly-formed New England IBL in Mathematics Consortium (NE-IBLM) (web site at https://sites.google.com/view/ne-iblm). We are specifically seeking participants who have some experience in using IBL techniques to brainstorm about next steps; we need your help! Please note that we are considering IBL in a broader sense, including problem-based learning, student-centered teaching, active learning, ambitious teaching, discovery learning, and inquiry-oriented learning.

Two important goals of the consortium are broadening the use of IBL in the New England area and creating a regional community of IBL practitioners, and we will focus on these two goals in particular at this event.

This is a great opportunity for you to have a pivotal role in the future of NE-IBLM, and to contribute in a meaningful and significant way to its development. We will also use this conference as an opportunity to discuss the role of IBL in inclusive learning, an important connection that is ripe for further exploration and research.

The conference will be at Westfield State University, in the Stevens Science and Innovation Center, on November 10th from 10am-5pm and will actively involve and engage all participants. You can park anywhere on campus. The lot closest to the Science Center is the commuter lot.
