第16回神経発生討論会

４年ぶりにオンサイトでの開催となった第16回神経発生討論会は、118名の皆様にご参加いただき、8名の若手研究者による口頭発表、29名のポスター発表、さらに日韓から新進気鋭の研究者６名による講演が行われました。初めて対面で参加する若手研究者、４年ぶりの再会となったベテラン研究者も交えて、最新のデータに基づく活発な討論が行われました。この３年間はコロナ禍の中、集まって議論をすることが難しい状況でしたが、本討論会をオンラインで継続し、サポートしてくださった世話人の先生方や、交流を続けてくださった韓国の神経発生研究者の皆様に深く感謝申し上げます。

本討論会の趣旨である、若手とシニアの研究者が一堂に会して交流し、建設的な討論を再開することができ、大変嬉しく思います。改めましてご参加いただきました皆様、ご発表や座長を務めてくださった皆様に感謝申し上げます。本討論会が皆様のご研究の発展や新たな共同研究、そして論文へと結びつくことを願っております。

The 16th Annual Meeting, held on-site for the first time in four years, was attended by 118 participants and featured oral presentations by 8 young investigators, 28 poster presentations, and talks by 6 up-and-coming scientists from Japan and Korea. Young researchers meeting in person for the first time and senior researchers engaged in lively discussions based on the latest data. Despite the difficulties posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, which made it challenging to gather and discuss, we are deeply grateful to the organizers who supported this meeting online and to our Korean developmental neuroscientist colleagues who continued to engage with us during this period. We are delighted to have achieved the primary goal of this meeting, which was to bring together young and senior researchers for scientific exchanges and constructive discussions. We extend our gratitude to all the participants who attended, presented, and moderated sessions. We hope this meeting will serve as a catalyst for the development of your research and new collaborations.

About the Meeting  神経発生討論会について   

神経発生討論会は2006年12月に発足し、様々な学会や研究会の枠組みを越えて神経発生生物学の研究者が集い、特に若手の「現在進行中」 「未発表」の研究に対して、若手研究者仲間とベテラン研究者が入り交じって、建設的かつ濃密な討論を行うスクール的な要素を持った場を作ることを第一の目的としてまいりました。学生やポスドクを中心とした若手研究者に発表して頂き、神経発生生物学分野で先端的な研究を行っているベテラン研究者、そして若手研究者同士の活発な議論を通して、問題解決の糸口をつかんだり新しい展開につながったりすることを目指しています。

本討論会でもこの方針に従って、最初に若手同士で自由闊達な議論をして頂きます。次に、第一線のベテラン研究者の方々から研究室の枠を越え、発表者の研究が少しでも良い論文にとしてまとめるためにはどうしたら良いか、プレゼンテーションをより効果的にするにはどうしたら良いかなど、教育的観点からの積極的なコメントをして頂きます。以上の趣旨を鑑み、既に論文発表済みの内容を示す「成果発表」ではなく、現在進行形で進めている内容を含めた発表をして頂くことをお願いしたく思います。このため、全ての参加者にNo Publication Policyの承諾を頂いた上で開催致します。

The Annual Meeting for Developmental Neuroscientists was established in December 2006 with the primary goal of creating a forum with a school-like atmosphere for researchers in neurodevelopmental biology beyond the framework of various academic societies and research groups, and to meet and engage in constructive and intensive discussions. We invite young researchers to present their ongoing and unpublished work, and hope that through active discussions among fellow young scientists and senior researchers, they will be able to find clues to solving problems and developing new approaches.
