Sigma Tau Delta offers a variety of opportunities that allow students to use their English skills in a way that benefits the community. Here are some of the things someone interested in volunteering could do.

Learners come working on a variety of skills: basic English, advanced English, CNA test prep, Citizenship Test Prep, Driver’s License test prep, some math, resumes, etc. Tutors from NDSU, Concordia, MSUM and the community come to share their expertise but also learn from the learners."

"The World in Fargo-Moorhead is a community photography and story project featuring area residents who have come here from other parts of the world."
If you are interested in photography or interviewing, this is a great opportunity to practice those skills. The World in FM interviews foreign-born residents in order to let them share their story. This involves taking a photo of the storyteller and transcribing their experience.
The world in FM is also interested in having volunteers for programs, such as their gallery exhibits and speed-friending events.
How: Contact NDSUSigmaTauDelta@gmail.com to receive more information.
"Write Your World's program involves weekly meetings every Monday 6-7pm where local resident (of Fargo, ND) and New American women and girls can meet, write, reflect, and share stories together.
Write Your World allows women to use writing and reflection for personal and professional development to benefit themselves, their families, and communities. Local residents and New Americans sharing stories develops empathy, caring and understanding in the fabric of the community as a whole."
Write Your World is interested in having female participants attend the weekly meeting to share their experiences or to help facilitate discussion.
