This group has sponsored a family of 11, who are relatives of local Uxbridge friends and spent eight years in Lebanon, without a home, prior to their arrival in Canada in spring/fall 2023.

North Durham Refugee Reunification is backed by World Renew, a Sponsorship Agreement Holder (SAH) under the federal government's Private Refugee Sponsorship program. We are also backed by Hope Church of Port Perry, who provides critical administrative support and issues tax receipts to donors.

We continued to regularly update our budget to reflect new World Renew procedures, inflation over the 2 to 3 year waiting period, potential costs due to the pandemic, regional costs of living, and more. To support this family of 11 for their first year in Canada, our estimated budget is $140,000 which we have reached thanks to the generous support of many!

We are currently raising additional funds beyond our goal to cover access to continued education.
