My name is Edward Shije and I'm an Indigenous Photographer from Zia and Jemez Pueblo. I was given camera and 10 years later, I have made my own film and have a Bachelors of Fine Arts in film and digital media. I'm happy no matter if im behind a $300,000 camera or a $3 camera.
I want to create photography and film to better represent my native communties and to tell native stories. I want to show that there is power in seeing yourself represented on screen.
