National Database – Fatal Road Crash System
The National Database - Fatal Road Crash System (ND-FRCS) is a joint initiative by the Transport Research and Injury Prevention Center (TRIPC) at IIT Delhi and JP Research India Pvt Ltd (JPRI) supported by consortium of automotive industry partner companies of JP Research Inc., Mercedes-Benz Research & Development India Pvt. Ltd., Maruti Suzuki India Ltd., Autoliv India Pvt. Ltd. and Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd.
ND-FRCS aim to digitize the Fatal road crash records accross multiple years and states. The total accident data is sourced from CCTNS in the form of FIR's and coded to derive meaningful insights.
ND-FRCS is intended to be an open-access database, enabling researchers, research organizations, and other agencies to conduct meaningful analyses and develop solutions to reduce crashes and fatalities on Indian roads.
