การจัดประชุมวิชาการของสมาคมเทคโนโลยีและสื่อสารการศึกษา จัดขึ้นโดยสมาคมวิชาชีพและเครือข่ายวิชาชีพด้านสื่อและเทคโนโลยีการศึกษา เพื่อเป็นสื่อกลางในการเผยแพร่และแลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้ ผลงานวิจัย และผลงานวิชาการ ระหว่างนักศึกษา อาจารย์ นักวิจัย และนักวิชาการ ในด้านศึกษาศาสตร์ ครุศาสตร์ ครุศาสตร์อุตสาหกรรม ด้านวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ วิทยาศาสตร์เทคโนโลยี ด้านนิเทศศาสตร์ สื่อสารมวลชน และ สหสาขาวิชาที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการเรียนรู้ โดยมุ่ง พัฒนาการเรียนรู้และเทคโนโลยี ไปสู่นวัตกรรมที่สามารถนำไปประยุกต์ใช้ให้เกิดประโยชน์ต่อสังคม องค์ความรู้ที่เกิดขึ้นจากการวิจัยจะนำมาเผยแพร่ ต่อยอด และส่งต่อทำให้เกิดการพัฒนาด้านการเรียนรู้ พัฒนากำลังคน และกิจกรรมต่างๆ ต่อไป
