The hypothesis proposed an impossibility of audible aspects in physical environments or vacuum contexts based on biophysical and mathematical concepts, in addition to acoustic analyses. The data show the cognitive nature of the audible aspects; physico-structural similarities between audible and inaudible sound waves; direct relations between the differences in timbre and the amplitude of the individual harmonics of the harmonic series of mechanical waves (sound waves), as well as the brain’s ability to interpret electro-neurological pulses generated in the auditory process. It was concluded that the universe is silent in physical or vacuum mediums. In addition, the biophysical literature, associated with the brain’s ability to interpret electro-neurological pulses from the auditory transduction process, suggests a scientific plausibility of communication between electromagnetic devices and the animal brain, as well as technologically assisted telepathic communication.
This project aims to elucidate the sound pressure levels (SPL) and the acoustic intelligibility characteristics of classrooms on Campus I of the Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB)(TALBOTSMITH, 1999, p. 1-12; 5-14; EVEREST, 2001, p. 39; 148-149; EARGLE, 2002, p. 97-98). The initiative is established as the second stage of the research project entitled: analysis of sound pressure levels on Campus I of UFPB, approved by the Department of Digital Media (DEMID/ CCHLA/ UFPB) in 2015 and implemented in 2016, which enabled the identification of sound pressure levels (SPL) in 08 (eight) locations on Campus I of the Institution, characterised by high levels of sound pressure in relation to the thresholds defined as safe by the World Health Organisation (WHO), in auditory and psychophysiological terms (SONODA, 2016a; 2016b; SONODA; PONTES, 2018).
Analysis of social, labor, public policies, and cultural citizenship dimensions related to Cabaçal Bands of the Pau da Bandeira Celebration of Santo Antônio de Barbalha (Ceará – CE/ Brazil). It will implement a qualitative/qualitative approach focused on bibliographic-documental analyses of sources regarding the subject, as well as statistical analyses if the data obtained justify the latter option. In the context of the literature that will support this research, it is expected to identify elements capable of pointing out problems related to the professional activities of musicians of the Cabaçal Bands who are part of the popular manifestation evaluated here. The results achieved may allow conclusions capable of demonstrating sensate paths and possible solutions for known problems, in the scope of the Cabaçal Bands that constitute the Celebration of Barbalha (CE), but also unprecedented problems, eventually, identified by the research.

Bibliometric analysis on digital accessibility in Brazil, focusing on publications indexed in national and international scientific databases in 2025. It aims to elucidate the characteristics of the aforementioned bibliographic framework in terms of scope and gaps. It was conceived as pure basic research, employing both qualitative and quantitative approaches, with exploratory and descriptive objectives, as well as bibliometric procedures. However, it also includes bibliographic analysis as the primary scientific method for understanding and elucidating the characteristics of the evaluated object. It is expected not only to identify the scope of the aforementioned literature indexed in scientific databases throughout 2025, revealing the updated state-of-the-art on the topic, but also possible gaps in this scientific framework that can establish new and essential lines of research, favoring the scientific development of the area within the scope of the theme. In this sense, the initiative is characterized by opportunities to elucidate the state-of-the-art within the topic; establish new lines of research focused on aspects essential to the scientific advancement of the field; and explore sociocultural implications for improving public policies. Due to its characteristics of originality and innovation, in concomitance with its intrinsic ties to the Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB), the initiative may also contribute to the scientific consolidation of this Institution in an international context.

Acoustic, mechanical, electromagnetic, and environmental analyses in the Control Room of the Audiovisual Production Studio of the Department of Digital Media at the Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB) to elucidate exposure conditions to low-frequency waves (Findeis & Peters 2004; Venslauskas et al. 2017; Pedersen 2008; Broner 2011), high sound pressure levels (SPL) (Dias et al. 2019; Sonoda & Pontes 2018), variations in temperature and relative humidity, magnitudes of mechanical vibrations (Findeis & Peters 2004; Everest 2001), and electromagnetic waves (Kliap & Kuryk 2002) in the aforementioned work environment, potentially capable of causing harm to the health of the professionals and students involved. Data collection will employ various locally installed measuring instruments, such as spectrum analyzers, decibel meters, thermal hygrometers, and three-dimensional triaxial accelerometers (Beranek & Mellow 2019; Bouten et al. 1997; Bruneau & Potel 2009; Everest 2001; Fahy & Walker 2018; Howard & Angus 2001; Rossing 2007; Sonoda & Pontes 2018; Sonoda 2023), which will electronically transmit data to an online spreadsheet throughout the research data collection period. The data obtained will be subjected to statistical analysis (Sonoda 2023; Elston 2018; Kattan & Vickers 2020) to elucidate acoustic, mechanical, environmental, and electromagnetic conditions that may be detrimental to work in the aforementioned environment, in terms of possible health impacts and/or temporary or irreversible hearing damage. It is expected that the research will yield irrefutable scientific evidence in line with the investigation's objectives, helping to clarify potential health impacts. Possible conclusions include demonstrating not only whether health risks exist in the aforementioned work environment, but also the potential health impacts on the professionals and students involved.

Research project developed within the scope of the discipline "pedagogical applications of post-2020 music: from everyday creativity to ubiquitous music", coordinated by Professor Dr. Damián Keller in the pedagogical context of the Doctorate in Ethnomusicology of the Graduate Program in Music at the Federal University of Paraíba (PPGM/ UFPB).
Since the political ascension of Getúlio Vargas to power, in 1930, and during most of the 20th century, government investment in mechanisms to protect the Brazilian cultural heritage was mainly based on the registration of a material heritage with Eurocentric characteristics, strongly related to the culture of the ruling class. However, at the end of the 20th Century, a new paradigm redirected government intentions, promoting a gradual approach to contemporary mechanisms for recording and safeguarding intangible cultural heritage. The latter, more connected to the popular classes, as well as better representative of the ethos and sociocultural aspects of the Brazilian people. Materialized in the work of the Instituto do Patrimônio Histórico e Artístico Nacional (IPHAN), this new political context favoured the increase in the activity of ethnographic sound recordings on popular cultural manifestations in the Brazilian Northeast in the 21st Century.
The concept of world music was analyzed as a theoretical construct that reinforces hierarchies between societies. Bibliographic sources were used to analyze the expression and its questionable meaning. It was concluded that the evaluated concept reinforces hierarchies between societies by differentiating Western music from other cultural legacies based on supposed, and not proven, distinctions of quality, an ethnocentric and discriminatory process that suggests an inconsistent and inadequate meaning in scientific, ethical, and moral terms.
Analysis of the Brazilian cultural heritage registered between 1938 and 2026, focusing on the categories of natural heritage and historical gardens, to evaluate representations of sociocultural, historical, and geographical disparities in primary sources from the National Institute of Historical and Artistic Heritage (IPHAN).
Analysis of official primary sources available in National Archives of Latin American Nations relating to autochthonous manifestations of these societies understood as representative of historical-social, cultural, ethnic, patrimonial, epistemic-philosophical, hermeneutic-interpretative, humanitarian, democratic and public policy principles, conceptions and perspectives capable of elucidating the relevance of these National Archives for the consolidation and safeguarding of the sovereignty of Latin-American Nations in the 21st Century. Structured as an interinstitutional, international, and multidisciplinary research project, with a mixed-methods approach (qualitative and quantitative), a basic (pure) nature, exploratory, descriptive, and explanatory objectives, and employing bibliographic-documentary and statistical procedures, this study aims to elucidate the relevance of National Archives for the consolidation and safeguarding of the sovereignty of these States in contemporary times. It is expected that the results will unquestionably reveal the relevance of these public institutions (National Collections or Archives) for the protection of the cultural, epistemic, and philosophical characteristics of these nations, directly contributing to the consolidation and safeguarding of the sovereignty of Latin American nations today.
Analysis of iconographic dimensions of popular cultural manifestations in the Brazilian Northeast based on sources from the Newspaper Library of the National Center for Folklore and Popular Culture (CNFCP), a Center linked to the National Institute of Historical and Artistic Heritage (IPHAN-Brazil). Its objective is to facilitate the analysis of the representation of Northeastern popular culture in official documents of the Brazilian State, to promote the understanding and elucidation of national heritage actions aimed at popular cultural expressions of the Region. It will include bibliographical, documentary, historical, and statistical analyses. In terms of results, it is expected to provide a contemporary overview of the evaluated bibliographic-documentary corpus, elucidating the characteristics of the relationship between the Brazilian State and the popular cultural manifestations of the Northeast Region, which are believed to represent important elements for the Nation in historical, patrimonial, and artistic-cultural terms. The initiative can promote ethical, epistemic-philosophical, and/or social improvements essential for the establishment of equitable, democratic, and more effective public policies for the management of the Nation´s intangible cultural heritage.
