The local name of the city is Brahmapur. Currently, there are two campuses of IISER Berhampur. The transit campus is located in the city and is easily reachable (around 6kms from the railway station). The permanent campus is located on beachside, and the conference will be held in permanent campus. If someone arrives at transit campus, they can take the institute's shuttle to the permanent campus. The schedule of the institute's shuttle service can be found here.
The nearest airport is Bhubaneswar international airport (Biju Patnaik Airport BBI). There are regular flights from the major Indian cities like New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Guwahati etc.
We will arrange transport to pick up invited speakers from the Bhubaneswar airport (BBI). It is around 3 hours road drive from Bhubaneswar airport to the IISER Berhampur guest house. The route is very scenic (specially after monsoon) and the famous Chillika lake is almost at midway. Daytime journeys are quite enjoyable.
Nearest Railway station is Brahmapur Railway station (BAM) which is well connected with all Indian cities. In particular, there are very frequent trains on the Visakhapattnam-Brahmapur-Khordha-Bhubaneswar route.
