The Nueces County Public Libraries will now host Sensory Storytimes. Beginning January 2020 we will offer Storytime that is geared toward children on the Spectrum. Sensory Storytime is interactive storytelling by our Nueces County Children Librarians that limits overwhelming sights and sounds. Sensory toys, and repetitive stories and songs are used to help with cognition. We are excited to get this new program started and we hope you will join in the fun. (This event is all inclusive.)
Due to COVID-19, our libraries are currently closed until further notice.
But don't worry!
We have VIRTUAL SENSORY STORYTIME videos on our
Facebook Private Group "Nueces County Family Place Libraries Group".
Just click "Join" and answer simple 2 questions for entry.
Our Family Place Libraries Group provides information on early literacy, parenting apps, at home activities, and education tips.
