The National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) represents the professional development of community pharmacies across the United States. The mission of NCPA is to foster the growth and proprietary interests of community pharmacists. Leadership, management, entrepreneurship, and business aspects is strongly intertwined within this organization. NCPA has a Business Plan Competition Program for 2 elective credit hours which allows students to learn, develop, and market a business plan of their own choosing. NCPA also has a lecture series in which speakers come in to give students insight and advice from their own experiences. The lecture series is developed to enhance students' leadership skill, knowledge/advice from experts in community practice, and business/management tips & advice from well-known professors and business consultants. As one of the newer organizations on campus, NCPA has a lot to offer including: leadership opportunities, volunteer events, and scholarships.
