Lock the app from your recents list to prevent it from getting killed. When apps are killed the background process also will be killed. This will prevent you from getting EOD data updates.
Older android versions don't have this problem, but android 7.0 and above are killing the apps when cleared from recents list. Only way to avoid it from getting killed is by locking it.
Lock the app using the lock symbol on top of the app, like in this image (circled)

Q: I am not seeing any add (+) button in holdings page, Not able to add my stocks.
A : Stock data will be added in background after signup, While adding the stock data the add (+) button will be disabled from the holdings page. After the addition of stocks, the add (+) button will be enabled in holdings page, and you can add your holdings. Same goes with mutual funds too. After stocks, mutual fund schemes will be added with the app, Once done you can start adding your mutual fund holdings. We are adding all the stock data one time, because we want the app to work perfectly fine even when you are offline. All you need is 10 min internet after 6 PM to update the day's quotes.
Q: How to find the stocks to add to my holdings?
A: Go to holdings page and click on add (+) button. Now the new holdings window will open, select your profile and exchange. After the exchange selection the scrip field will be enabled. On scrips field type minimum 3 characters to search and select your stocks from the list. You can search stocks using the stock name or by the scrip code. The app will list all the stocks matching the characters entered. Enter the quantity and price on respective fields, select the data you bought the stock and click save button to save the holdings.
Q: My funds are not listed in Mutual Funds list.
A: Different AMCs list the funds with different styles, Some fund houses uses spaces in between words, some uses ' - ' between words, some uses ' G ' in place of growth, etc . We are getting fund info directly from 'Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI)' , The fund names will be same as AMFI listed names. So sometimes you may find it difficult to get your funds correctly. If your funds are not listed when you do a search, then search any other word in the fund, or search with ' - ' in place of spaces. Alternatively if you know the scheme number of the fund , then you can directly input the scheme number and there you will be shown your fund. Below are some examples.
- when u are not able to find "DSP FMP - Series 192 - 36M - Direct Plan - Growth " fund, just search 192 and scroll the list to find your DSP fund.
- Just enter 135967 which is the scheme number of DSP FMP - Series 192 - 36M - Direct Plan - Growth fund , and select.
- When you are not able to find Kotal small cap fund, type Kotak-Small to get the list and scroll the list to select your fund.
Q: My holdings are not listed in holdings page.
A: Chances are you might have added your holdings to non default profile. Holding page has two filters, profile and financial year. When u enter the holdings page, only default profile's stocks will be listed. you can change the profile filter and check your holdings. You can also change the default profile from settings page as well as profiles page.
Q: I am not getting End of the day updates properly.
A : Every day after 6 PM the app will update the stock quotes, The app has to stay alive in background for data update. Latest android system is killing the apps when cleared from the recents list. To prevent the app from getting killed, please lock the app from recents list. Older android version of OS are not having this issue.
