Q1. Review of Systems (PERSON-Gordon’s Approach) in tabular format?
Answer: No. This is an Oral revalida (exam). During your ORV, you may only write the important information related to your case. Again, it was reiterated in your orientation that the CNP is the Nursing Process taught during your lower years. The CNP for students in the slides shared in the ORV site is your guide. See the example below on how you can present the ROS during your ORV. Please see Number 4 criteria in the ORV Tool.

Q2. Do I really need to draw anatomy?
Answer: You may or may Not. It is up to you if you are confident in presenting the physiological and pathophysiological diagram of your case. This was stated in your orientation. You may or may not draw since this is an oral exam. Please see under Methods of Presentation, Number 4 in the ORV TOOL “Creativity in the presentation”
Q3. Do I need to provide Clients Daily Progress chart?
Answer: You may or may not. Please see under Methods of Presentation, Number 4 in the ORV TOOL “Creativity in the presentation”.
Q4. Do I really have to write a Narrative evaluation of the nursing problem?
Answer: No. This is an oral examination. It was highlighted in the orientation that the CNP is similar or the nursing process. Since this is an oral examination, logically, there is no need to write a narrative evaluation hence it should be verbally stated during your ORV. Please refer to EVALUATION criteria in the ORV tool.
Q5. Discharge planning in METHOD style?
Answer: A good recommendation in the plan of care to a patient is essential in providing holistic care to clients. The CEU-SON utilizes METHOD (Medications, Exercise, Treatment, Health Teaching/Education, OPD instruction (if necessary…), Diet format. During your ORV you may use this as a guide in providing recommendations to your assigned case during the evaluation phase whether to terminate, continue or modify the plan of care. Please refer to Evaluation criteria number 2 and number 4, methods of presentation in the ORV tool.
