About me

I am currently the 3rd grade teacher at Nettle Creek School. This will be the start of my 21st year teaching 3rd grade. Before that, I was the 5th and 6th grade teacher at Utica Elementary School. I went to school at Illinois State University where I received a B.S. in Elementary Education with a minor in theater. I have thoughts of going back and getting my master's degree as a reading specialist some day in the near future.

I have two children and a cute little dog. Addison is 19 and is starting her Sophomore year at The University of Illinois this year, Lainie is 15 and is starting her Sophomore year at Seneca High School, and Duke is my German Short-haired Pointer who turned six on July 5th. They keep me very busy, both girls are heavily involved in sports! I am a White Sox fan and am able to attend many games throughout the summer. Family is very important to me! I live down the street from my parents and try to visit my brother often in Naples.
