About Me

I am currently the first grade teacher at Nettle Creek School. This will be the start of my twenty-third year teaching first grade. I went to Eastern Illinois University where I received a B.S. in Elementary Education with my concentration in English.

I am married and have four children. My husband Chad works for Omni Fiber. He works from home and travels sometimes with his job. We enjoy spending time with our kids and grandkids, going on vacations, hanging out in our pool, and watching shows together. Michael is thirty-one and has two children, Mia (8) and Ronnie (3). Caitlyn is thirty and lives in New Mexico. She has two children also, Charlotte (7) and Elliot (1). Hannah is twenty-five and is starting her fourth year of teaching at Braceville Grade School. She just had her first baby, Lainey, in June. My youngest daughter, Alayna, is twenty and is starting her third year at Northern Illinois University. She is studying to become a nurse.
