About Me

I am currently the first grade teacher at Nettle Creek School. This will be the start of my twenty-second year teaching first grade. I went to Eastern Illinois University where I received a B.S. in Elementary Education with my concentration in English.

I am married and have four children. Michael is thirty and gave us our first grandchild, Mia, who just turned 7! He and Emily had our first grandson, Ronnie, who turned 2 last March. Caitlyn is twenty-nine and lives in New Mexico with our second grandchild, Charlotte, who turned 6 in June. She just had our grandson Elliot in March. Hannah is twenty-four and is starting her third year of teaching at Braceville Grade School. My youngest daughter, Alayna, is nineteen and is starting her second year at Northern Illinois University. She is studying to become a nurse. My husband, Chad, works for an internet company called Rise Broadband. We are a very busy family, always spending time with our family and going to everyone's events!
