Volunteers

It's the last meet of the year for our Gold and Platinum athletes and we want to make sure it's one to remember!

How do we do that?

Well, the Ultimate Gym is the host gym for this important virtual meet and we will need your help to make sure this State meet runs smoothly.

There is a plus side too volunteering for the meet. YOU GET TO VOLUNTEER FROM THE COMFORTS OF YOUR OWN HOME!

Volunteers will be "moderators" or "Main lobby moderators" for the State meet. Moderators make sure the gymnast know when they are about to compete and keep the device muted when necessary. Main lobby moderators make sure that teams are in the correct event rooms, and watch warm-up times.

These moderators will communicate with the Meet Coordinator from time to time.

Training will be Wednesday, April 14, 2021 through Zoom. A link will be sent later.

Volunteer Requirements:

1. You must have reliable and unlimited Wi-fi in order to volunteer for this meet. (Any lapses in streaming may cause scoring problems for athletes)

2. You CAN NOT use a phone as your device for this meet. You can use a tablet, IPad, or a laptop.

**Volunteer hours are in 3 and 6 hour increments to allow parents the opportunity to get in their TYAA volunteer hours for the season. We will not break up 6 hour time slots for this meet.

MODERATORS JOB Description- Virtual Meets

  • Rename yourself=Moderator-(your name). Move into your event breakout room.

  • Keep yourself muted unless talking to coaches or judges.

  • Keep your video off so as not to distract judges.

  • Judges may ask you how much time is left in a warm-up. Go to the Main Room, look at countdown timer and let them know.

  • If gyms are in the breakout room and judges are not, let them know they are in a conference breakout room.
