FIRE CODE REQUIREMENTS
You must meet the following requirements by order of the City of Raeford Fire Inspector in accordance with the North Carolina Fire Prevention Code
1. Fire apparatus access roads shall not be obstructed in any manner, including the parking of vehicles. Vehicles shall be unloaded and parked in designated areas. Any vehicles left unattended or in non-designated areas will be towed at owners’ expense.
2. All vendors shall have a 2 – A10 – B:C fire extinguisher. (Non-food vendors can use Kitchen Fire Extinguishers).
3. All vendors using cooking equipment involving grease, vegetable oil or animal oils and fats, shall have both a 2 – A10 – B:C and a Class K portable fire extinguisher.
4. If you will be using cooking oils, candles or any type of open flame the tents, canopies and tarps must be composed of flame-resistant material or shall be treated with a flame retardant in an approved manner and labeled or certified as such.
5. All compressed gas containers, cylinders and tanks shall be secured to prevent falling
6. Local and State Fire Requirements for Food Vendors will be enforced if you would like a copy of what will be required/inspected by Health Department Officials and Fire Marshall you can call Dawn at 910-875-8407 or Fire Marshall Terry Tapp at 910-875-5150 so there will be no confusion on Festival Day.
