COURSE OBJECTIVES
This module is designed to offer health center staff strategies for recognizing and responding to the mental health needs of their older patients.
After completing this module, participants should be able to:
Describe common transitions in later life and their potential impact on the well-being of older adults
Explain the importance of tailored interventions that address an older adult’s unique needs and support their ability to adapt
Consider shared strategies for recognizing and responding to the mental health needs of older patients
This module has three sections including: Section 1: Psychological Well-Being in Later Life, Section 2: Individuality & Relationships, and Section 3: Patient-Centered Support. To receive a Certificate of Completion for this module, you must complete the Knowledge Check assessments after each section and submit the final evaluation form to verify your participation.
