Alpha Gamma
Alpha Gamma Chapter, located in Avery & Watauga counties, is affiliated with The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International and the DKG North Carolina State Organization, Region IX. We are a group of women educators, committed to the advancement and endorsement of women in education.
We currently have around 60 active members, living or working within Avery or Watauga County, NC. We represent the spectrum of women in education - including current classroom teachers, retired educators, school administrators, and those in higher education.
DKG Involvement
DKG Involvement
We are proud of our chapter members that seek opportunities to be involved in education at all levels. Multiple members serve DKG in either the state or international organizations. Members regularly attend DKG conferences and contribute to the DKG Educational Foundation and other initiatives. Our members have been recognized for achievements ranging from years of membership to grants received, leadership experience, and acts of service.
