Animal Adaptations

Summary:

Students will explore how animal body parts help animals survive by watching What are Animal Adaptations? By Shea LaFountaine. Students will then learn the importance of scientific diagrams and  use the engineering design process to create a new animal adaptation inspired by one in the video.

Students will then create a diagram detailing what adaptations they used and why.

Standards:

[RI.3.7] Use information gained from illustrations (e.g., maps, photographs) and the words in a text to demonstrate understanding of the text.

[RI.4.7] Interpret information presented visually, orally, or quantitatively and explain how the information contributes to understanding.
