The SEC will have plenty of talking points in 2021, starting first and foremost with defending national champion Alabama, which is breaking in yet another talented-yet-unproven quarterback in Bryce Young. There's also Texas A&M, which will look to finally make the jump under national title-winning coach Jimbo Fisher (who also will aim to be the first Nick Saban disciple to beat the future Hall of Famer). The East once again revolves around Florida and Georgia, but who knows what storylines will emerge during the 2021 season?
Sporting News has you covered on how to watch all those games and keep up with all those storylines, all without the need for a cable subscription:

Cord-cutters have myriad ways to get their SEC fix. Several games will air not only on the considerably large ABC family of networks, but also Fox and CBS, all of which have their own dedicated streaming sites. The SEC Network will also broadcast several games as well, falling under ABC for streaming purposes.
Here's a rundown of how to stream the 2021 SEC season, which starts on Sept. 2 and runs through the conference championship game on Dec. 4
National broadcasts
The SEC will have several national broadcasts throughout the year on the ABC family of networks (including ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPNU), Fox and CBS.
Games appearing on ABC or ESPN will stream on the ESPN app and the ESPN website. Fox will stream games at Fox Sports Go or its website. All 15 CBS games will stream on Paramount+ — a rebrand of CBS All Access — in 2021.
fuboTV
Every SEC game that appears on the aforementioned stations and the SEC Network will also be available to stream on fuboTV, which offers a free seven-day trial to new subscribers. That accounts for all but one of the conference's 39 games through Week 3 of the 2021 season.
ESPN+
Several SEC games throughout the season will only be available on ESPN's dedicated streaming site, ESPN+. The site's rates start at $6.99 a month or $69.99 a year

What to Know
The Utah Utes will play against a Division II opponent, the Weber State Wildcats, in an early-season tune-up Thursday at 7:30 p.m. ET at Rice-Eccles Stadium. While Utah was not exactly top dog last year, they did wrap up the year with a winning record of 3-2.
The Utes are the favorite in this one, with an expected 30.5-point (!) margin of victory. It would take nothing short of a miracle for Weber State to pull off a win, but maybe they can at least keep Utah from covering the spread.

THE STAKES
For Weber State … Beating Utah on the road would definitely be one of the biggest wins in program history.
For Utah … Utah looks to get out to a good start to the season with a win. Ideally, the Utes would like to have the game wrapped up early and sub the starters out of the contest.
THE TRENDS
For Weber State … The Wildcats just played a spring season, going 5-0 in the regular season before losing 34-31 to Southern Illinois in the first round of the FCS playoffs.
For Utah … Last season, Utah’s first two games of the season — against Arizona and UCLA, were canceled. Utah lost its first two games of the season to USC and Washington before finishing the season with wins against Oregon State, Colorado and Washington State to finish the year with a 3-2 record. Utah elected not to play in a bowl game.
THE CRYSTAL BALL
Weber State will win if … Everything goes right for the Wildcats and a lot goes wrong for Utah. The Wildcats will need to play a perfect game on offense and defense and cause a few Utah turnovers to have a chance at the upset. Weber State is one of the best teams in the FCS, ranked sixth in the preseason FCS rankings by the AFCA Coaches poll and the Stats Perform poll, and and are well-coached by Jay Hill. This game may be closer than the betting line of Utah by 30.5 points, but the Utes should be able to handle the Wildcats.
Utah will win if … Baylor transfer quarterback Charlie Brewer has a good first game for the Utes. Quarterback play will be key for Utah this year, and if Brewer has a clean, relatively mistake-free game, the Utes should win. Utah’s vaunted defense will be given the chance to make a good first impression, with Weber State’s All-American running back Josh Davis — one of the best players in FCS — going against them.

PLAYER TO WATCH
Charlie Brewer, Utah: The biggest takeaway from the Weber State game will be how well Brewer does in his first game for the Utes. All eyes will be on the fifth-year senior Brewer, who will be the second starting quarterback for Utah in the last two years, replacing Jake Bentley.
KEY MATCHUP
Utah quarterback Charlie Brewer vs. Weber State’s secondary: Brewer’s performance from his first game in Ute red should be a good indicator of where he’s at as the Utes start the season. Brewer hopes to build off his performance at Utah’s spring game, when he went 15-for-15 for 151 passing yards and two passing touchdowns.
Report ad
A four-year starter at Baylor, Brewer threw for 9,700 yards and 65 touchdowns — both marks rank second in school history, behind Robert Griffin III. He also rushed for 22 scores. Brewer led the Bears to an 11-3 season with a Sugar Bowl appearance in 2019. During that season, Brewer threw for 3,161 yards and 21 touchdowns with a 65% completion rate. Under a new head coach in 2020, Brewer regressed a little bit, throwing for 1,958 yards, 14 touchdowns and eight interceptions with a completion rate of 62% in nine games for Baylor.
Brewer will no doubt want to prove that he can get back to his 2019 numbers, and Thursday’s game is a good place to start.
QUOTABLE
“I’m excited to see what kind of team we’ve got, first and foremost, and find out where we’re at as a football team. Weber State is a good team, a playoff team in FCS every single year. Jay Hill has done a great job there. They’re a team that is well-coached, very sound fundamentally, technique-wise, schematically. They’re a very good team. We’re excited to get the season underway, see what we’ve got and go from there.”
— Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham on preparing for Weber State
“It’s been such a short time since we played but I think our team has really pushed through it and done what we needed to do to get back and I think we’ll come to this Utah game and show what we’ve got.”
— Weber State running back Josh Davis on preparing for Utah, per the Standard Examiner

The Weber State Wildcats and Utah Utes meet up in Week 1 at the Rice Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET and the game will air on the Pac-12 Network. Utah has a roster that can compete for a Pac-12 Championship, and it all starts Thursday night.
The Utes return a lot of last season’s production on both sides of the ball, and Kyle Whittingham has a very deep squad as he heads into his 17th season as the head coach. Baylor Bears transfer Charlie Brewer and Cam Rising battled for the No. 1 quarterback spot throughout fall camp, and the Utes should be in good hands at the position.
If you aren’t around a TV to watch the game on Thursday, you can live stream it on the Pac-12 Network website or through the Pac-12 Now app, available for iOS, in the Google Play Store, Amazon App store and more. It will require a cable login with access to FS1. If you don’t have a cable login Sports Go app, you can get a free trial from YouTube TV, Hulu with Live TV, AT&T TV Now, FuboTV, or Sling TV to stream the game.
Utah is a 30.5-point favorite at DraftKings Sportsbook, with no moneyline available. The point total is set at 49.5.

Utah (0-0) vs Weber State (0-0) Game Preview
Why Weber State Will Win
This was a good, strong FCS playoff team through the spring session, going unbeaten in the short regular season before dropping a 34-31 heartbreaker to Southern Illinois in the playoffs.
The Wildcats get the job done on defense. They’re terrific at getting into the backfield, they’re a rock against decent passing teams, and they’re great at taking the ball away.
On the other side, they run the ball, don’t make a slew of mistakes, and they’re able to control games by making teams play their pace and style.
However …
– CFN Preseason Rankings, Schedules, Projected Records For All 130 Teams
Why Utah Will Win
Weber State isn’t going to get physical with the Utah lines.
The Utes struggled to get going in 2020 – it was the last Power Five program to start the season – and they weren’t able to get the passing game going. However, the offensive line was built up and now should dominant with all five starters back.
This front five and running game will pound away, the linebacking corps will keep the Weber State running game from breaking off big runs, and with former Baylor QB Charlie Brewer in the mix now, everything should be a bit smoother.
What’s Going To Happen
The Utah defense will take over.
The Ute offense will score on its first drive, but it’ll struggle for a bit against a feisty and sharp Weber State defense. There won’t be too much drama – Utah’s offense will score when it needs to – but it won’t be over until midway through the third quarter.
Again, the Utah D will get the job done, and then the O will put it away late with a few good scoring drives.
