School Age Music Classes
General Music (Pre-K to Grade 1)
Meets Saturdays 10 AM – 10:50 AM
Our youngest musicians are joyfully discovering the world of music through movement, echo songs, and playful sound exploration. These early experiences help them begin to “think music” with their ears and bodies - Laying the foundation for future musical understanding through a process called audiation. In these fun and nurturing classes, children learn by listening, moving, and responding to musical patterns. We’re helping them build musical intuition and a lifelong love for music - before they even start reading notes!
Taught by Isabel Diaz-Lopez
Orff Children's Chorus/General Music (Grades 2 to 5)
Meets Saturdays 11 AM – 11:50
As students grow, so does their musical thinking! These classes focus on recognizing and creating musical patterns, developing listening and performance skills, and beginning to connect what they hear to what they see on the page. It’s all part of becoming independent, expressive musicians. From singing and playing to improvising and moving, students are now applying what they’ve learned to create music with confidence. They’re developing inner hearing (audiation) and exploring how rhythm, melody, and form work together - making music come alive in new and exciting ways!
