NC clubs UNITED to give ATHLETES a fair tryout experience

We recognize that perceptions of fairness vary. By using the word "fair" in this pledge, we mean that collectively we will work together and commit to creating a tryout schedule and process that allows athletes the fair opportunity at a published open tryout to earn any team roster position on any team in our club based on their relative strengths (athleticism, skill, potential, positional competencies and intangibles).
THE NC FAIR TRYOUT PLEDGE
In the spirit of fair play, athlete’s best interests, and collaboration with other like-minded clubs in the Carolina Region, we pledge to conduct open and fair tryouts on a cooperative timeline. Furthermore, our tryout process will be conducted with integrity to enable every athlete the opportunity to earn any spot on any team in our club. Stated another way, this means no players are pre-offered spots on a team in our club before the published open tryout dates promoted by our club.
We also pledge to honor the Carolina Region Athlete’s Bill of Rights and will not subject any athlete or their family to unethical, coercive, manipulative, or other such pressure tactics to secure a team/club commitment.
