What is a .COL file: a .col file is a minecraft color plate file used for console and maybe soon windows 10 edition where it allows in a resource pack for environmental colors to be changed. If you have the ability to change these colors in your own resource pack / dlc you bought then this is the tool for you.

You slightly misunderstood the instructions. You don't put that line into the terminal.

You have to first open the .desktop file with your editor by using on of the commands it lists, depending on your desktop environment. For e.g. Budgie:

sudo gedit /usr/share/applications/minecraft-launcher.desktop

This will open the text editor to edit the minecraft-launcher.desktop file. In that editor window you have to change the line that starts with Exec= and put Exec=env JAVA_HOME=/usr/lib64/openjdk-8 /opt/minecraft-launcher/minecraft-launcher there instead.

You'd have to manually delete everything.

That would be the contents of /opt/minecraft-launcher/, and the files /usr/bin/minecraft-launcher as well as /usr/share/applications/minecraft-launcher.desktop and /usr/share/icons/hicolor/symbolic/apps/minecraft-launcher.svg

You may want to try TooManyItems, a in-game inventory editor for Minecraft, which is much easier to use than any other inventory-editing software for Minecraft that i've ever used. It is a mod, and requires editing the minecraft.jar file. There are quite a number of tutorials online on how to install, and should be easy enough.

Commands are for vanilla (java or bedrock) edition, but can also work for modded Minecraft. So far it includes, item name and lore, item enchantments and the more advance item attributes which can add buffs or debuffs for users that hold or wear an item.

Enchantments: Most enchantments will only work on certain tools, weapons or armour. Be sure to choose the correct enchantments. You can minecraft give sword with enchantments or minecraft give armor generator, choose those items from the minecraft give item list and choose enchantments from the advanced options. There is a huge number ofminecraft give enchanted items combinations.

The makecode tutorial creation tool makes it pretty easy to set up stages for a tutorial that I presumably could share from in-game and I've been able to figure out how to hide ALL blocks using the control options but I still can't find an example template or block reference listing for how to tell the editor to display only specific blocks that I want kids using in a given level. Does anyone know where I might find this? Are they referred to by their python or java names somehow?

Thank you so much Cameron Ross It looks like my most recent post may not have gone through, but I've been gathering each little bit I learn in documentation our grant website. I've added your notes to what I have here:

It is possible. I am working on a project that uses the code connection api to be able to interact with minecraft bedrock edition (as well as education edition). I know it should be possible to make a java mod that adds an api that you can then use in snap, in fact, there might already be a mod that can do that. I mean, I saw a mod somewhere that allows you to use scratch to interact with minecraft.

Just saying, the app was discontinued, but it still works with modern minecraft (even the new blocks). That's why the scratch service is in scratchx, even though you can't use it (unless you use a browser that hasn't removed flash)

VS Code supports applying templates when you create a Java source file. When you create a .java file in the File Explorer, the language server will automatically generate the class body, and fill the package info for you:

First, you must find the main game folder on their devices. You can do that by searching '%appdata%' folder and locating the '.minecraft' subfolder in it. This is where all the main files for the Java Edition are located.

After extracting all the files, head to the 'assets' folder, then 'minecraft,' then 'textures.' This is where a list of textures can be found. If you want to change the block textures, you can select the 'block' folder, which contains a long list of png files for each and every block. Simply open one and edit the texture however you want. 2351a5e196
