The Nanomedicine and Bioengineering Research Laboratory at the Department of Pharmacy, Indira Gandhi National Tribal University (IGNTU), Amarkantak, is a multidisciplinary research hub dedicated to advancing innovative healthcare solutions through cutting-edge nanotechnology and bioengineering approaches.
Our laboratory focuses on the design, development, and characterization of advanced drug delivery systems, particularly polymeric nanoparticles, nanocomposites, and biomaterials tailored for the treatment of chronic and infectious diseases. With a strong emphasis on translational research, we aim to bridge the gap between laboratory innovation and clinical application, enhancing therapeutic efficacy while minimizing side effects.
Our team comprises passionate researchers, Ph.D. scholars, and postgraduate students under the guidance of Dr.Rishi Paliwal, actively collaborating with national and international institutes to address real-world healthcare challenges.

Dr. Rishi Paliwal is presently holding the position of Associate Professor, Department of Pharmacy, IGNTU, Amarkantak, MP. He has completed his bachelor, master and doctorate degrees in pharmacy from the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Dr. H. S. Gour Vishwavidyalaya, Sagar, MP, India which is one of the prestigious and oldest pharmacy institutes in India. He qualified NET for Life Science conducted by CSIR-UGC in the year 2016.
Dr. Paliwal completed his Post Doctorate from Rangel College of Pharmacy, Texas A&M University, USA. Dr. Paliwal has contributed substantially to research on novel drug delivery, drug targeting, and nano-biotechnology involving colloidal drug carriers customized for targeted drug delivery. Dr. Paliwal is a recipient of the Young Scientist Award given by the Madhya Pradesh Council of Science and Technology, Bhopal for his research efforts in the area of nanomedicine and nanobiotechnology. He has 17 years of teaching and research experience in the field of pharmaceutical sciences. Dr. Paliwal is also a recipient of Rudolf Cimdins Award (European Society of Biomaterials), Career Award for Young Teachers (AICTE, New Delhi), and Outstanding Pharmacy Teacher (Pharmaceutics) by APTI-MP branch and Outstanding Assistant Professor by IPA-MP Branch.
