Hi, I’m Mrs. Angie Duvall, the Library Media Specialist here at North. I began my teaching career as a social studies teacher before moving into the Media Center, where I get to collaborate with teachers and students on media projects—and, of course, share my love of reading. This year marks my 21st year in education!

I’ve been married to my husband, Dusty, for 19 years, and we have a 14-year-old son, Avery, who’s a sophomore at BAMS. Outside of school, I enjoy traveling, going on cruises, admiring classic cars, and cheering for the Red Wings. I’m also the coach for both the boys’ and girls’ tennis teams, so if you’re interested in joining, come see me!

Naturally, I love to read—but I’m also hooked on audiobooks. My favorite way to enjoy them is with a book in hand while I listen, something I recently learned is called “immersive reading.” My current favorite author is Sarah J. Maas, and I can’t get enough of her A Court of Thorns and Roses series. I recently finished the Fourth Wing and Powerless series as well.
