Justin Perron, MHK
Justin Perron is a passionate sports enthusiast and dedicated community advocate based in North Bay. He holds a Master of Sports Management from the University of Ottawa, which he completed in August 2023, giving him a deep understanding of sports administration and community engagement.
Justin's life has always revolved around sports. He started playing tennis at the age of 8 and has been dedicated to the sport ever since. He has been a member of the North Bay Granite Club since 2008, participating in both singles and doubles leagues as well as various tournaments. During his teenage years, he competed intensively as part of the club’s competitive team. During his university years, Justin would return in the summer to gain professional experience by working five summers at the Granite Club as the Tennis League and Tournament Coordinator, honing his skills in sports management and event coordination.
In addition to his love for sports, Justin is passionate about giving back to the community. His personal experience being diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in 2015 highlighted the crucial role of healthcare services during his treatment at the North Bay Regional Health Centre, inspiring his current role as a Development Officer at the NBRHC Foundation. In this capacity, Justin is committed to raising funds to enhance healthcare services and ensure others receive the same level of care that was vital to him.
Justin's career is driven by his desire to combine his love for sports with his dedication to community service. He aims to use his expertise in sports management to benefit local health initiatives, enriching both the athletic and health sectors of his community. Justin has achieved this through initiatives such as creating the Charity Tennis Challenge: Doubles Night. Through his work, Justin continues to demonstrate that sports and community service are not just his passions but avenues through which he can make a lasting impact.
