As high school runners, summer running is critical to your success in the season! Summer running provides runners a chance to develop their aerobic "base" that will allow them to develop other areas of your fitness during the cross country season. Regular season is 10 weeks and post season can potentially put you at 11-13 weeks of running; that's not a ton of time to develop. Putting in the summer miles give you the best chance to pickup where you left off at the end of the prior season! Be sure to check the new "Summer Running Schedule" page to get your workouts if you aren't on Classroom yet.
