Hello, everyone! I am Nayeon (or Nay) Kim. I am working on language AI field. I am interested in interdisciplinary research at the intersection of computer science and humanities. Here, I would like to document and share my Ph.D. journey! I believe that this journey feels like a dark and long tunnel, but will definitely be a great asset in my future. π

Our paper "Polishing Every Facet of the GEM: Testing Linguistic Competence of LLMs and Humans in Korean" has been accepted at ACL 2025. I contributed the paper as a co-first author with Sungho. I will present my paper "Handling Korean Out-of-Vocabulary Words with Phoneme Representation Learning" at PAKDD 2025.Β In this paper, we propose a novel algorithm to derive Korean OOV words by incorporating the textual and phonemic representations. π
