I am enrolled in the course Cyber Security (24ECSE318). I am passionate about cybersecurity and eager to develop my skills in protecting digital systems and networks from evolving cyber threats.
Course Description
This course provides a comprehensive study of cybercrime and cybersecurity principles, starting with the definition and global origins of cybercrime. It covers various cyber threats and attack techniques, including phishing, malware, and social engineering, while highlighting their impact on individuals and industries. Students will explore core security concepts such as confidentiality, integrity, and availability, alongside legal frameworks with a focus on Indian cyber laws and international standards. Through real-world case studies on financial frauds and online scams, the course equips students with knowledge of risk management, governance, and compliance to effectively address and mitigate cybersecurity challenges.
