My teaching pedagogy is broadly based on active learning techniques in the classroom. In some past classes I successfully implemented an IBL method based on the pedagogy of David Pengelley, called the ABC method.
You can listen to a seminar talk I gave at the Washington State University, Vancouver about this method (click here). See David's website for useful resources on teaching using primary sources, and articles on the history of mathematics.
I am also currently working on the incorporation of historical sources in teaching mathematics. I will say more about this once I have published some of my work. If you are interested in using primary sources in teaching mathematics, then you should take a look at the TRIUMPHS project.
My teaching interests also encompass presenting advanced mathematical ideas to students in K12, both through instruction and through play. Students in mathematics education are welcome to email me for possible projects to work on, in this area.
Some past courses I have taught include:
Freshman Seminar: Mathematics through history and play.
Math for the liberal arts.
Calculus based probability and statistics for math and science majors.
Linear Algebra II.
Abstract algebra.
