Naveen Aggarwal is working as a Professor in UIET, Panjab University and has more than 23 years of teaching experience. He did his Ph.D and M.Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering from IIT, Kharagpur. He is a Project Coordinator in Design Innovation Centre established in Panjab University by MoE.  He is also Incharge of Panjab University Incubation Centre and AI Data Centre at Panjab University. 

He has completed more than 24 Sponsored projects and consultancy projects with industries. The Infosys foundations has awarded Dr. Aggarwal with Faculty Innovation award. He has more than 78 publications in International journals, 130 publications in international and national conferences and 2 Books. He is Associate Editor in Springer, Wiley, IET and Frontier Science Journals. He has been granted 4 Indian Patents.

 He is Senior Member of ACM & IEEE and regular reviewer of Elsevier Pattern Recognition Letters, Elsevier Applied Acoustics. 

His areas of research include AI, information retrieval, Intelligent transportation systems, Machine Learning.
