Shikishima

Shikishima-Class Battleships (敷島型戦艦) were built for the Imperial Japanese Navy during the years of 1898 to 1901 by the British as Japan wasn't yet developed to build such ships. There were 2 of these ships built.

Shikishima-Class Battleships served between the years of 1900 to 1942.

Shikishima-Class Battleships Shikishima & Hatsuse were deployed in the Russo-Japanese War of 1904–1905. At the Battle of Port Arthur on the second day of the war Hatsuse sank after striking two mines. Shikishima fought in the Battles of the Yellow Sea and Tsushima.
